A station is silent or does not start.

Accepted Answer

Stations stream from each broadcaster's own server, and some go offline, move, or block listeners outside their country. The app skips a stream that recently failed and tries again later. If a station you care about stays silent for days, tell us its name and we will check the directory entry.

Question 2

A station is in the wrong place on the globe.

Accepted Answer

Station positions come from the community-run Radio Browser directory. Anyone can correct an entry there, and the fix reaches the app the next time it refreshes. You can also email us the station name and the right city, and we will submit it.

Question 3

I heard an ad. Is that you?

Accepted Answer

No. Faraway Radio has no ad networks. Ads you hear come from the station or its stream provider, and some streams insert ads based on your location. Try another station, or tell us the station's name if something seems off.
